Maltodextrine/Maltodextrose & a New P3 recipe

Hey did you know that the Malto word and mix has stuff made from starches of the grain wheat or corn!

Read your lables its not for P3 it will get you in the end just eat clean and green right off the vine is the safe way to get it not out of a box or in a mix cause most likly it has Malto in there somewhere in it.

Read about it here and here and here or here hit the links on these read spots. Most off all remember that you should not use any starches in P3 and thats what this is made with.

My recipes from the last week that I tried my hand at even though I am on maintenance.

ONIONS & WALNUTS
Take one yellow onion rather large, slice into rings.
Saute in coconut oil sprinkle stevia over and have about a tablespoon of water in it also.
Add a handful of walnuts and warm through with mixing in the onions.
Yummy Beyond Belief

KALE an LEEKS
4 oz chopped precooked chicken
6 kale leaves washed
1 leek sliced in rings make sure to wash dirt out if it shows in ring slice.
Put a little bit of chopped garlic to your liking.
1. c. water
1/4 cup cream cheese

Cook until tender then smear cream cheese with almond slivers on the top of steamed leeks and kale. Let cream cheese get a bit warm and melt and then eat.

I really have never eaten Kale in my life so this was my first try at it and let me tell you my Hubby really liked it lots and lots which made me feel super happy to have succeeded at a real good dinner meal.

Running like a maniac!

So I got up early, put the running clothing on and hit the treadmill 4 miles at a 5.o pace taking 64.49 minuets to complete. I started my warm up with a half mile walk first so that I was very warmed up. It feels good to know that I really can move at a faster pace then what I did last year at this same time. Last year I would run up my stair case and have to stop just to catch my breath at the top back then. Now no big deal I could actually run all 28 steps several times and still be breathing with ease.

Maybe for New Years I will try the exercises workout called sledding and walking up and down the mountain to make it happen. My kids think that will be the best event yet! Will get back to you on that event later. Maybe I will see if I can fit into my old college day ski bibs that are packed somewhere in the old winter gear. If they fit I will really know that this body has arrived.

Posting this under p3 but I am really sucking at doing a good p3 right this time because there is no following the rules in a considerate measure. I already ate starch last night and keep dipping into the oatmeal granola bars that I created. They are so good but yet again because there is no pretty wrapping on it the Little guy is not really impressed with them so he wont try them. GGGGRRRRRRR. The candy sources are all gone in the house so now he is being forced to eat good today and I did catch him with a bag of carrots not that he had eaten any though. He made me eat three thank goodness for one healthy treat.

Chewy Granola Bars
(makes 9 servings)
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil, melted
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped dates (we had to use raisins couldn't find any dates)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds, toasted
1/4 cup ground flax seed
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats, toasted ( opps almost burned them the first time)
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted (we didn't toast them though)
1 cup chocolate chips dark ( our own variation)
Heat oven to 350F. In a bowl, whisk together first 5 ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press mixture into greased foil-lined 9" square baking pan. Bake 20 min. let cool completely. Cut into Squares.

137.6 Skinny tastes better then anything else.

Nice soaking bath, warm drink of tea,
Long bus ride in the heat it feels like Aug. all of a sudden and the Bus is very warm.
I can't wait to make this it sounds so Divine.
Came home to find kids making more ice cream smoothy's. I just went and took a nap so that it didn't get to me. A long snuggle with Jer, its been a very long week even though my tomatoes are yelling that they need bottled into salsa I think a snuggle is safer then facing the ice cream kitchen.

Lunch: Lean Beef, with red onion sauteed again in coconut oil and some brags. Placed over melba rounds I felt very satisfied. An apple on the go.
Dinner: Chicken sauteed in coconut oil placed over cucumbers with some sugar free Waldon Farms raspberry vinaigrette dressing.
I did not feel hungry all day. I am a bit worried that my scale was off when I weighed my beef because it just seems larger then it should be.

Hubby and I had a date, a very nice long walk around one of my miles that I google mapped. It was without any children tagging along interrupting our talking.

Scary but hang in there. R1P3 thats me.

So after the Easter weekend and eating food and getting the flu I am finally back and sitting at 160.6 that's 1.4lbs back and it better not go up. I did do a treadmill run this morning so we better start seeing a leveling here. It is hard to make sure you sneak up on the cal amount when you are not sure of the count and have to spend time sitting at the computer to keep it all tallied. Well I am trying and thank goodness I can do it again if I have to and will since I want to lose the rest of this sugar sack that I am tired of carrying on my body.

Here's a girl that has done a ton of cooking and figured out great recipes for us all to follow when we move to P3 status.

162 New scales 27.80 BMI

It seemed to work it's almost noon ready to eat my lunch feeling great no hungry pains. I am starting to gather recipes to get me through the next three weeks to set my body in this weight and face the family parties that are going to come up. Still bugged about not fitting into my jeans yet and that its stuck on my hips still but I am patient.
Things I am missing. Conditioner I am tired of straw hair.
Deodorant I thank goodness am not into
the sweating summer yet.
Lotion I really am starting to miss on my hands.
My partner is looking so great she can fit in her smaller jeans and we are both waiting to get really exercising at a more energizing level.
Lunch Chicken with spinach rolled inside. Grapefruit with stevia on top and grissini sticks.
I drank a cup of Yerba Mata tea this morning and when my box is done I do not think I will ever get it again. I have never been a soda with tons of caffeine in it drinker. I just never really liked it so I am not going to start with the tea either. Caffeine is a stimulant and why would I want to become hooked on something that makes my body be stimulated. I watched the preemie babies have it used just to keep their hearts stimulated and always was happy when their bodies decide to get going on their own, so ya I think exercise will be my stimulation for my heart. Looked up links to Atkins info finding inspiration and recipes. http://community.atkins.com/index.jsp
Dinner Grilled fish with that yummy picante sauce and my melba rounds on the bottom. An orange for the finish up. It was a great day.
