8 miles I went that far.

Wednesday of this past week yes I made an 8.33 miles to be exact in my run or maybe my boys might call it a shuffle since they can both Mc and C walk almost as fast as I can do my running but hey I did it. I went outside so there were no interruptions, no reasons to quit, and a must to get myself back home since no one was coming to rescue me. It took me two hours to do, of course one neighbor talked to me, one cell phone call slowed me a tish and the hill towards the end got a walk instead of the shuffle move because I was just to tired.

BUT I DID IT and its more then I ever thought I would do in my life time.

I had set out on Tue to do this goal but the Hubby surprised me and came home from work early right at mile 6.25. Ya know how if you stop you can't get going ya that happened to me so I decided to call the run for the day good and try later to reach that 8 mile goal.

I am trying to refine how many calories I consume. I hate recording them but by doing so with Dr. Oz Move it to Lose it I am seeing how much I need verses how much I take in and I always seem to go over. I really sometimes just think it would be easier to get back to the HCG diet limits yet I know that is not enough for the body to keep up with running too. So I am learning how to work the limits out and keep the calories low but not to low so that I can still run.

I saw a to die for recipe here that would be good for a maintaince phase it was on Dr. Oz show I gotta log it's link up there so that I can find it when ever the urge hits. I am so dang crazy for chocolet now days it is just pitiful, having never a need in the past as a youth and young Mom but now get out of my way and give me that stuff or I might clobber you for it. Hopefully this 88 cal replacement will help my fix need and maybe even the little guy will think its cool too. Maybe I just lack and seek the protein that chocolaty has so ya the secret ingredient is a protein that just might help my needs.

Tools, Goals, Mystery Protein drinks non eater getting food now.

Fit Bit this little item looks like one cool tool I would love to have.

No matter how little or how much I eat it seems that I am staying right at the last set point that I made with HCG. Good thing but kinda of strange when they say the more active you are the more you can lose. Maybe this is my bodies really healthy familiar place.

On Wednesday I had one of those kinds of crazy days where I had to be in about 5 places almost all at once or one right after the other on the time frame of a clock keeping the hours.
Like a good Mom I devided out where everyone would be and asked others to help get one of them to a far away place. By the end of that day we had Mc winning 4th place in the Jr. High tournament for Regions. Go my boy who said he would never wrestle and then changed his mind 2 years ago and started the sport. C boy pinning his 2 opponents that were 112 instead of 103 and one he said must have been 119 and they goofed or something cause he was tough.

You know how you feel so good after a workout and then about 24 hours later you really start to feel the ache in the muscle that you worked out! Ya my gut and butt and legs are in a regular burn up mode. After running 5 miles in the morning and then forgetting that I had agreed to a Zumba two hour party class I am over the weekend feeling so many many new tight muscles. It really actually feels super good to feel each tweak or catch as I move reminding me of the fact that many years after being a teenager I still can get those muscles tight.

My mystery protein drink came that I have been waiting for. The taste was diffrent then the Chocolate taste test that I did over Christmas. The hubby put chocolate milk powder in it after the first few tastes and the little guy just chugged it all down in his sleep early in the morning hours and then asked for a drink of water when he woke up. He did baulk about drinking it when I tried to get him to drink it later in the evening. Way to much green for him. I am going to admit I doctor the green drink up a whole lot more but it makes me feel so dang good that even if there is a diffrent smell to it I love the energy that I am getting from it.

Well I got in another 6 miles this week and am about to pay the money out that will comfirm me into having to run a real live 10K race. Wish me luck its going to be so fun to accomplish my goals this year.

Progress and starting over some days.

I did another 10K all by myself felt so great the rest of the day. Tue ready to wake up with an owie hip and there was not a single sign of it Yippy that is just too cool.
Dinner was Sweet potatoes fries with too much pepper, chicken and salad and a bit of ranch dressing. The next day the scale was down go figure.

As I look back across the last year with my first date of using HCG coming closer I love being able to review that I can now run 6 miles. Yes that's what I just wrote, Monday I ran that many miles on my treadmill in 79 min. Back when I started this journey just trying to lose the pounds and then needing to tone all the flab all I could do was walk a mile. I told myself every day that I walked that this took forever then I'd groan. The message was I don't have this kind of time to spend here. But really what was more important then getting healthy so I could live longer and stay healthy and not cost my family lots of money in some horrible medical catastrophe.

Now with all that I have learned in being in control of the amount of foods the kinds the combinations and paying attention to what is in stuff that I don't make myself, I feel like I am getting on top of the game of losing and keeping the weight off.

My mental Model: I said this for years and now its almost here. "I will be a happy healthy 120 pounds". That looked like me wearing skinny jeans and feeling strong all over my body. The body follows the mind so a message that you tell yourself is so very body changing. I actually fit in those skinny jeans without the scale reading 120 right now today.

I decided to join Doctor Oz. 11 week move it to lose it and love the plan so that when I am eating whatever I want to eat not doing (HCG) I can also pay attention to how much I need to move to keep it all in check. Along with all the helps of great people that are at my finger tips to glean info from.

Well by the end of the week things were getting straggly. I had a cool late Christmas present of seeing a play in big city and a night out just me and the hubby. It was fun but eating out of the house can really throw your plans out the door sometimes. Also hotels believe in white flour waffles not whole grain kind to feed breakfast seekers.
Wrestling events have some of the worst concession stands filled with ubber junk foods, its a wonder that a boy could even eat healthy stuff at those tournaments. The C boy was at a huge competitions with 66 schools and 68 kids in his weight bracket we went to watch him at the Rocky Mountain Rumble Competition. He placed 7th which is really good for a freshman wrestler. He says "every match is an ability to learn something new to stretch your abilities into new possibilities". "Its actually better to learn while in a real match because both are straining so hard to get the upper move." The food choices were ugha and so I think in one weekend I have undone a healthy scale reading. But I did bring my Denise Austin abs DVD and did it right there in the hotel when I woke up Sat. morning. At least I kept moving.

Heres to keeping on with my maintenance and maybe figuring out what will keep me losing all the time.

Bits from the week!

Lots of good runs were achieved this past week, lots of good workouts done also. I would like to have done a run on Sat but alas the thigh muscles on the top of my left leg are screaming after sitting two hours pushing a clutch in and out in stop and go traffic for a total of 7 miles Fri. I think I had better get to a gym and work the right leg so I get evened out in the muscle area.

I did a really cool Bio mechanical analysis on my feet and a look at how they run at a high tech fancy shoe store filled with only running stuff. I need lots of strength support on my outside leg especially the left. WOW what and answer to the reason why my left hip gives me trouble. My shoes are good but a lot of the support is in the arch so now I am going to have to save the pennies to get a shoe that is really solid all the way around and for sure on the back outside of my foot.
Friday at the Dr. office we heard great news that says the Little Guy Jer is actually on the growth charts these days. Now that he has endured a years worth of having to have a growing shot every evening we are finally seeing some progress. I knew it because he was moving through clothing sizes but its nice to have the Doctors see it and start to jump up and down happily too. As mean as it is to have to give your little guy a shot over and over again its nice that there is finally a result for all the torture that has to be given.

Eating is going really well I am paying attention to keeping it all whole grains, lots of veggies and some fruits and not over eating, I think I am eating better then I ever have in my life. At least I am getting more veggies then what I used to. The veggies are with every meal also. I am also working to make sure that my biggest meal occurs at lunch time so that I am not caught going to bed with a heavy tummy.
Breakfasts are getting more consistent for the girl who was never good at that. I do have to kick myself once in a while and think hey its getting past 9:30 are we eating breakfast or lunch only today. I am waiting on pins an needles to get my lovely drink for the morning fueling that I need to do. It should arrive in the mail soon. Now the goal is to get the little guy to tank up eating in the morning also along with the Hubby who has to leave at such an unearthly hour sometimes and so so sucks at doing a morning meal (and he is a health professional who should know better at eat a morning get going meal).

On the wrestling front:
We have C boy who stays right on weight without starving himself, he is eating really healthy except he dislikes celery he says. This week he has had 9 wins all pins and 2 losses. Yes one of those losses was against the Nationally ranked high school senior that he is living to beat some time this year. He said it was a total mental loss because he tried a move that got him in to a position to be pinned and he forgot that the kid has lots of experience and was not using techniques to do the wrestle. Live an learn and go on its just a game is his attitude which is really a good one to have. He has decided he needs to strengthen his fingers lots more because his grip is not very strong.
The Junior high boys K and Mc well they made a bet that I couldn't run with the team in laps and get to the end so I did it after having ran two miles earlier that morning. 5 min laps= about a mile and yep I did it faster then my usual run times. Mc took pity and never went ahead of me. K boy I barley saw he went fast and furious. All the other boys were impressed and gave me high fives or told me that I was good. Made me feel pretty darn good to know that I can run with them too these days.

One confession to make, I can't not keep from a peek at the scale I just don't tell the Hubby and I wont record it, but it is back up 10 pounds but sticking right at my last hypothalamus set point. This was from my previous round that I did a good set job setting my system like Dr. Simeons says to do. Very unlike this last flub up from the holiday avalanche slide that I made. Its a testimony to me that following protocol and doing things right with the diet is important. On to next weeks goal bumping up to 5 mile run at least once this week.

Time out and evaluating my workout time frame!

I have come to realize that it is soso soso important to make sure that you really set your hypothalamus's during the P3 phase and not mess around at all. No matter how hard I am working out ( 4 miles every other day running and then some other cardio or strength train is the fare each day) the fat storage areas are slowly feeling out again and it is becoming slowly visible only to me, but none the less. My tummy is the spot that quickly starts to lose the tone and thin look if I am not vigilant.
The next three weeks are going to be very crazy, lots of Dr. appointments for Little guy and the wrestling moves into to hyper drive with all the tournaments that determine who really is the best of all the boys that are wrestling. Then add the factor that I have to do the Bus drive training in the snow. The truth be known I have no time left for myself. Either I blog or I exercise and so my blogging is going to have to cut down to once a week entries from now on. Otherwise I will really not have a reason to keep a record of my progress to a healthier body and lifestyle.
I am going to try and keep a better daily record on dailymile.com. Come be my friend and track your own progress; anyway so I can show that I really have worked out or at least walked and ran every other day that's where I will keep my record. Then just know that the off days I will be using my small library of DVDs to keep toning and firming the flab that is now here from having lost so much weight using HHCG over the last year.

5 miles the other day I felt so amazing and didn't even hurt the next day. I think the body is getting used to the moves and working into a stronger position now.

Dr Oz is becoming my favorite these days so many of my questions are getting answered by him. I am taking a time out from the HHCG for a bit and doing Dr. Oz 11 day workout. Along with the fact that the Hubby wanted me to stay off the scale and do just workouts and pay attention to the kitchen and food fare at our house just a bit more, so time out to work on better cooking and eating skills for all not just me he says.

Taking a time out is hard when your so addicted to making a record or wanting to tell those you care about something new that might help them but if I am not getting the work done myself its not going to matter how hard I have worked this past year to look and feel like a million bucks.
So moving on to an ever better life style, keeping things just a bit simpler once a week posting will be my new workout.

133.0 Game Plan.

The scale number went down but I know after today it will go back up no matter how careful I am. I am ready for it with two bats swinging.

Here is my pre-game plan mapped out.

A two and a half mile swift walk with some neighbor girls, can't let them down.
Then two mile run nice and steady back at the house on my treadmill.
Keep moving all day.
Small lowest cal Lunch: Cucumber with salt, fish, and one wasa cracker. Oh I forgot my fruit again.
Then
Dinner: A dangerous work party meal for the Hubby's surgery staff.

I will and did only eat the lettuce salad with a tiny tiny bit of dressing. I ate a lot of the green salad when the need to eat more came upon me because of all the other goodies that were there.
Someone brought jumbo shrimp. I eyed the amount and ate 3 that had to be close to my 100 gram allotment while using HCG.
I went over the 100 grams by eating a tiny bit of prime rib not to much but more then I might should have done.
4 Ritz crackers with a tiny bit of cheese spread.
A warm cup of hot coco, I am freezing today.
4 Dark Chocolate's from Italy and lots and lots of water.

The last meal that did me in (football awards dinner for C boy) during this crazy holiday I didn't have such good choices to be able to pick from. The meat was in gravey sauce so there was no way to pick it out and there were hardly a green salad to pick from it was all jello or potatoes, or lovely whipped cream pudding choices. I sure hope this game plan goes well because I am really learning how to care for the body these days and I want to not have to take another week to get back to the 134 site on the scales.

140.2 Body Image!!!!!

That's what you get when you mess with HHCG and eat out of the 500 cal. diet order but its ok I will be ok.
2 mile run this morning, yes finally a minute of time for me.

Lunch: Fish with a tomato and an orange and 4 melba rounds. Lemon twist stevia in 2 liters of water. And of course the 10 HHCG drops under my tongue.
Dinner: grilled chicken with curry powder on it. Celery sticks and a wasa cracker. One rather large apple of a sour crisp variety, kept me having pucker thrills in my mouth. 10drops of HHCG and some fizzy vitamin D to. I have been taking this for about a week and I can really tell a difference.

Body image? What do you think about it?
The Hubby and I had a talk as we drove home from the Doc yesterday and this came up. My budding teens made me feel ugly as a mud fence, know this I was always as skinny as a rail then, so it had nothing to do with being fat just not pretty in the face is what I mean. Some but not many boys paid attention to me during those years. Then as I turned 18 into my 20's I was hot, I think I started realizing this when many boys paid attention to me but I still didn't keep much of a belief that I looked very hot. I still had this image that only certain guys liked certain kinds of looks. My Hubby of course went crazy over me, I had moved to this new town and met him. All of a sudden many guys were asking me out, he got all crazy possessive and didn't think it was funny to have other guys ask me out. So he remedied the problem and made me his forever. Well then there is the syndrome that some women suck into; I have my guy so I do not need to try so hard right, well I never really participated in it but I do recall after every pregnancy trying to get back that youthful skinny and a certain glint from a passing guys eye that would say yes I had it back or no I did not have it yet. Of course the Hubby still loved me no matter what.
Now today I told him that I had dressed to look very hot but not because I wanted anyone else to take a look, only because I wanted him to look and I almost couldn't pull the look off because of my scared feeling about others out there in the world maybe looking. Now this has only become a problem because I have finally lost back to a nice sized pants and skinny look but I still hide behind his protections and the fact that I do not have to attract anyone else. Whew thank goodness I do not have to be back in the dating space I am not sure I would do so well. I really have a hard time with the attention that comes now and I realize that many girls in this world that cover themselves with a layer of fat to protect themselves from attention must feel kind of like me today. I am glad this is not always how I feel because it sure could be disabling if a person let it be in their life.
I talked about how I really would rather not have any attention from others, especially guys and yet a person really has no control over that.
The hubby said he liked that I was trying to be healthier and active again and it's nice that the body is in better shape, back to what attracted him in the first place. He desired that I should keep dressing hot even if others paid attention because it would help me to keep feeling like staying in the healthy mode and that's the most important thing to him. He thinks that many guys were always attracted to me back before his day, but there is the phenomena that happens with a guy and they say "she is too pretty I do not have any kind of chance even getting a date with her so why try." So they don't even try and the girl may be left wondering what was wrong with her just because of what messages she is telling her own brain. Well my Hubby didn't care about that phenomena he was older and he knew what he wanted so he went for it. Besides we got set up on a blind date, I think that helps take away the messages that we tell ourselves that might be limiting when we first glance at a person and consider the potential asking out thought.
His goal is that we both get healthier and stay that way, besides we still have lots of kids that need to be raised. The most important to him is the healthy, looking good is a side benefit to boot. My benefit is he is loyal and keeps his manly attractions to others in check because bottom line our personal body image is all a part of what attracts or does not attract us to others.
So in conclusion I guess I just get to keep ignoring looks or statements and focus on being healthy because it is so very important.

137.2 My own 10K goal and Thanksgiving

It was a race against myself to increase my pace and go the distance and I did it. 6.12 miles so a little over the amount needed yes with my trusty old treadmill. I got my pace going and kept at it with only three little potty breaks and one cookie removal from the oven. There was never above 5.o and it took me 80.14 Min's to do the run; But I felt good and not like I was going to crash at the end, keeping steady the whole time. I had wanted to go do a run in Moab Utah but ended up having a training day for the buses along with wanting to do one more round to meet my goal of 120 before the year is out so that Xd my true race that would have gotten me a bib and pace recording but oh well maybe a different race will come to my availability.

LOADING for my 4th round with HHCG today. THANKSGIVING dinner will be enjoyed by me a ton because I am not going to avoid a single thing. The only problem is that I have to actually force myself to eat more then the usual since I fill full so fast these days. It was a struggle the whole time but I made it and there had better be a significant rise on the scale that I hope slides off faster then an entire week like the last time that I had to do a big round before the loss kicked in.

I am thankful for family
Food
Forgiveness
Freedom
4wheel drive
Financial security right now
Friends
Heat and heaters
Home to live in
Hope and happiness
Healthy body
Happy kids and Hubby
Honest people
Most of all I am thankful for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and all that they do and have done for me in my life.

138.2 Love that good drop down look.

Feeling thin today, the brain is thinking do I really still need to reach the 120 goal when I feel so thin? Hmm the Thanksgiving loading day is close approaching.
Wood hauling that's what we did for fun today not that its tons of fun more like its just a necessity to keeping warm around our parts its what keeps our house warm.

Eats: Quinoa with honey and butter to sweeten
Lunch : Chicken taco with spinach leaves and cheese.
Dinner: A pretzel bar and an apple with some peanut butter.
Of course my 2 liters of water with hazelnut cream stevia today.
Dinner:

I ran 5 miles on the treadmill today while watching a show with the kids then went and got my Christmas present early. Ugha, it is not really what I would have wanted but its a big need around this house. It has to do with the daily doings that a family of nine would do three times a day or maybe more. Any guess what it might be that would be helpful like that? Tell you tomorrow when I actually test it out.

138.6 Cow Bunga

I think we finally get to say that we, and yes I mean we today are hitting near the goal.
C boy's scale reading was 101.6 at 5 AM now if it will stay near there by the time practise comes after school. He is filled with healthy eating, hard core wrestling in the evenings, fast paced quick 30 min run every morning wearing a black plastic bag and tomorrow evening I can say he has hit it right on the nose with room to spare because they have bumped up the weigh in day to Thursday evening.
He is drinking the amount his body needs and he has had a complete protein every single meal combined with a veggie and a fruit.
Now I need to visit the store to replenish my pre frozen chicken cuts and get apples and oranges he has eaten them all.

I had a 3 mile run, barefoot, too lazy to put my shoes on today, might pay for it later. I am getting a bit faster in my pace but only a bit. Strength training after with Pilate's done by Denise Austin my gut is going to hurt I only did 30 min of it.
French toast for breakfast.
Lunch was stuffed 2 green peppers that had hamburger and rice and the Stouffer label said corn syrup like every other ingredient it seemed. It is an experiment to see if I gain from eating that kind of food.
Dinner: Hamburger with tomatoes on a wasa cracker bun, broccoli with ranch dip and about 6 no bake cookies that have chocolate, peanut butter, oatmeal and sugar in them. Two chicken nuggets that Jer fed me, and a big lick of chocolate peanut butter spread while making Jer a sandwich hopefully he eats it and not me.
Lots of water from my container with grape Stevia and maybe more then my two liters because I ran today and drank out of the tap instead of my container while working out.
Wonder what the scale will do in the morning. I felt ubber full today.

139.4 A Need to win hmmmm!

I feel better today. I was afraid that my hip might hurt when I woke up this morning after running for that many miles. I was pleasantly surprised that it must be starting to comply to these exercises that I am making it go through. I sure do not get why it didn't hurt like this back when I started running in the summer for the first time in 19 some odd years. And even at that I was not really ever a big runner.
I hope I win this (go read about it) never wanted one until lately when I can't tell how fast i am getting or how far I have gone.

I had such a busy day that I only ate a steak on the run at a restaurant and had an apple with it.
My pants are so dang baggy but I am having a revers experience about not wanting to give them to someone else but they do not fit me very well at all. Why would that be, well they are dang cute they are long not capri's, they keep me warm and I only got them a year ago. I am back in that space of not wanting to go buy pants (costly &, no money to spend) but this time its to get a smaller pair not a bigger pair. Oh that felt so good to be able to say and think that.

So today off our school lunch menu C boy can only eat the salad which is only a bit of shredded iceberg lettuce, and apple wedges with milk to stay safe in keeping his scale level at a good space. The Macho nachos have way to much sodium and the chips are corn with dextrose, He could scrap the cheese and meat off and eat that but there is barely any there and it is all mixed with the beans that are totally sodium loaded. The treat is a Rice Krispie and so no sugar if he is going to play it safe. Then I read this off the Lighter side blog and about died. Maybe the schools should watch what they are feeding the kids first before telling the parents how to fix the kid. Made me fuming because the kids have to pay extra to get a nice side salad if they do not want to eat off the school menu at our school areas.

140.0 Winter cold has my head!

I am freezing again today. My head is in a foggy, my eyes are feeling scratchy, but I determined that running on the treadmill would at least warm my body up so I did it. I started with just a walk for a mile. Then I broke into a slow jog. Then a nice steady pace of 5.0 and ran for 4.5 miles moving up and down between the 4.0 pace setting and the 5.5 pace setting. My mind was distracted by a show on exercise and then the news for the day. By the time I got off I had a sorta clear head at least my nose was running instead of being stuffy from sleeping. I felt thinner too that was nice. I took a cold then hot shower took a nap oh ya somewhere in there I sent Jer off to preschool. Then I got dressed like a snow bunny and headed for a very cold bus ride later in the afternoon. Nice that the kids were good and all sat down today. It was the kind of day you need when you feel like you should have just stayed in bed.

Everyone in the house ate Chicken noodle soup so that I did not have to to anything except read to little boys and go to bed. Oh ya we did watch AFV as a family for our family night. Everyone was in bed by 9:00 PM I sure hope that isn't an indication of others getting sick because that is really early for three teenagers to be getting into bed.
C boy still being a very good diet listener to day. He has til Thursday night to keep that weight in check. He is only allowed to drink distilled water, The coaches say our water has way to many minerals in it to pass the hydration test for wrestling. His eats egg whites, salad, steak, cucumbers apple and a stolen piece of cheese.
My eats an orange, cucumber chicken salad with feta cheese. Almonds, a bit of chocolate spread and some peanut butter. I really did not have much of an appetite.
Jer stole K boys chicken noodle soup from him and ate the whole bowl. We were all very surprised and K boy just let him have it he was so shocked that he would take it right away form him. Maybe Jer is having a growth spurt.
I really am thinking about doing my 4th and hopefully last round with the load day on Thanksgiving weekend. It will make Christmas dinners hard but that's ok I want to make my goal this year not next.

140.2 Talking to kids about weight loss.

Last night and all morning starting at 5AM the boy who needs to lose 2 pounds wants to know what to do. As a Mom with the boy who is growing this is a big struggle to be placed in. He is the energizer bunny almost every single day so how could you bump his metabolism up anymore? He is growing you should not keep a boy depleted when it needs to grow. So how do you tell them how to drop 2 or 3 pounds in three days. The only two things I can think of is that he needs to drink more water and flush his system out a bit. Second eat only protein and vegetable carbs. No bread no sugar no treats. And third bump up his exercises status into over drive.

Just like wrestling is mostly a control over your mind and a will to win. Being in control over what you put in your mouth and making sure your willpower keeps you on track is the way to lose a few pounds. He asked me if he could use my HCG and I of course said no it will not work that way for you. You must follow the system and it takes more then three days to lose and you are not fat so there is nothing to pull from fat that is stored on your body.

He admitted that he was hungry after practice last night and went to his cousins and ate a Pizza Pocket. No protein not really any carb worthy eats of a vegetable and lots, LOTS of a bread that's white. Along with the fact that he realized he does not drink the amount of water his body needs to rotate around in his system. So he ate nothing else last night and at 5 was on the treadmill running eating breakfast of only egg whites and a tomato with my sugar free dressing. A bag of celery and a liter of water went with him to school. The bottom line is that if he can't go down then he will have to wrestle the next weight up and be happy there and so will the coaches because the kid is riped all ready and there is no fat on that body to lose.

Me running in a snow storm for 3 miles and some of the Pilate's that worked the abs. I can really feel the tightness in the area around my old C-section scar.

My eats: Cream cheese smoothie with peaches and strawberries and some celery too. Salmon and California rolls made out of brown rice. A wasa cracker with some cheese and almonds.

139.8 Hold to a spot for a min?

It looks like my body is going to like this spot for a min. I wish it were back down but for now it is just fine considering how badly I ate over the weekend. I am ram ping up the miles and wanting to reach 5 miles so that I will feel like I can really truly reach a 10K at a speed that is decent and not slow as a tortoise even though the steady one is usually the winner right?

Crazy eats today, nothing as nice and green as this turtle is eating.
Oreos, milk, lasagna with extra meat that I added. 1 orange, chipsncheese, bugle chips, milk again. It was sorta pieces here and there and not really ever a total meal eaten. I ran 2 miles at a 5 pace and had to do it in the house on the treadmill. I wanted to do more but had interruptions and finally was just grateful to get what I got in.

139.8 Turkey Trot run 5K.

Mc and K boy getting ready to run their first race for one mile.
Resting at the end of the race. Mc third place and K second place for their age brackets but no turkey lots of learning and realizing they needed to train more and run more everyday. They had fun that's the most important thing of all.
Jer is not to happy that he can't come along for the race so I had to come give him a hug till big brother swooped him up and got him paying attention to other things while we got ready to run for our turkey dinner.

At the end of the run we were met by the boys and of course Jer who still wanted to come run even though we were definitely done for the min. No turkey won but determination and fun to make it to the end was won on all of this crews parts today. I did have the place of second in my age category but then there were only two of us that were that age and I was three years older then the winner.
Eats: well celebrating ice cream malts with pumpkin mix the Hubby claims that they are filled with protein and these kids will think up any kind of reason to celebrate even if it was second place or third. Cheese on chips, broccoli trees, mushrooms, and a tiny bit of chicken.
I went on later today to to run 2.1 miles on the treadmill making a total of 5 miles for the training goal towards my 10K. The Hubby is still complaining that I must lengthen my stride when out on the road. I tend to find it easier to do when the treadmill is threatening me that if I do not speed up I am going to hit the end and land in the wall so somehow I have got to take that faster pace out to the road and get an imaginary threat of maybe a dog biting my heels I don't know any suggestions I will definitely take them so bring them on.

140.0 Mmmm WHY??? Turkey run

Why? cause my body wants to be this weight on the scale I guess.
Today would be the first day of maintenance if deciding to keep going that way. I have decide it will be about three weeks of maintenance before I do another round. I am not pleased that there was a rise again after eating pretty moderate. I mean the Cream Cheese shakes with the strawberries was what I ate on my first P3 round. The salad was lots of greens but maybe it has to do with the dressing yep sugar in it. Later that evening I could have eaten less of my dinner, less salad, less steak, less dressing that most likely had lots of sugar in it. I don't know its sure has been much harder this time around to lose, make the body set and now who knows stay at the lower weight. I think I am going to do a Thanksgiving load and then a 20 day round to lose towards my goal. I sure hope I am able to get to my goal without having to do anymore rounds and then the goal would be to maintain that for a whole year without having to do anymore rounds. I must admit I have learned lots and lots about so very many things on this journey. I will continue to learn I am sure for the rest of my life how to manage this body and the quirks that come along with it. Here's to maintenance for the next few weeks and trying to stay at a low level on the scale.
Eats today:
Green salad with chicken cucumbers, sunflower seeds, feta cheese and Waldon's sugar free onion salad dressing.
An apple with some peanut butter.
2 liters of Stevia hazelnut water.
Dinner baked Salmon, Cheese chunk and more water.
Rode my bike for 40 min and hiked the side of our hill for .8 of a mile that's a total of 2.8 miles worth of exercises. My leg hurts on the left side most likely because for a bit of the walk I walked backwards up the hill. Why, I don't know just for the fun of it that's why.

I am excited for tomorrow ready to run with parts of my family in a 5K race to try and win our Turkey dinner.

136.6 My second steak day did the trick.

I got back closer to the last weighed dose day from doing that steak day. I had a rough night. I think you could call it a hypoglycemic attack. I woke up shaking feeling sick lightheaded and dizzy and wanting to throw up. I started to shake and barley was able to tell the Hubby that I needed a spoonful of sugar fast. He got me jam and it was the craziest thing to feel the shaky sensation slowly move down and out of my body leaving through my toes and finger tips. Why did this happen to me I started wondering so I of course went searching for insight on why this would be happening to me. I read this and this and this.
After doing what would be considered fasting two days and then a big protein intake with minimal sugar for the day, but having over the past weekend eaten large amounts of sugar pure sugar in candy form I would say that my body was trying to get back to a normal, the first this article link really states it in a form I connected with.
But when I got up at 6 AM and going for the day I felt normal and back on top of things.

Breakfast Eats :Protein shake of cream cheese, milk, and strawberries along with a handful of cashews.
Lunch: Salad from Wendy's with grilled chicken. All 4 of my youngest boys had Parent Teacher conferences today. Plus a nutrition check and weight appointment for Little Guy Jer.
Dinner: Salad and steak and lots of steamed veggies. All 10 of my Hubby's brothers and sisters got together and celebrated their birthdays for the year. Hope the scale isn't undone from the meals eaten today.
Getting geared to run with my kids this weekend.

137.8 Life went into over busy mode there for a few days.

Fri. Scale read 137.6 That steak day did not work so well. Not sure if it is because there is a lot of muscle building going on or what but I sure didn't drop back down to where I should have been or like the protocol promises. I also missed the water drinking that I should have done.
Today I did part of my stretching with Denise Austin video and 50 sit ups and crunches.
Saturday posting also. 137.8 on the scale.
Yep you can tell not enough water drinking happening yesterday.
Today the Hubby took me on a long workout. I was only supposed to run 3.5 miles today in my schedule's plan towards a 10K. But he wanted to show me how to work on cross training along with the running. So after .42 of a mile warm up we took off up the side of the mountain range that runs along our home. He wanted me to run, no way was I going to fall down I told him so I did a half gimpy kind of run but mostly walked fast because there were big rocks to cross over. Upon reaching the top we took off back down the side hill and met up with the side of the road that I usually run along this ended up being about 1.29 or a bit more of a mile. Then we preceded to run up a steady slow incline way past 3 miles but that was my fault because I forgot that a cattle guard was the turn around point. After awhile he said I am sure we have gone well over 3 miles. I kept saying well where is the fence that I saw on my Google map which goofy me had already passed but kept looking out over the distance thinking the fence would come back and meet the road soon that was out there in the distance. Upon arriving home we consulted the map and looked at the length we had gone, total over all was 5 miles with the mountain hill hike which I had not run but the rest measured out to 4.5 miles. WOW I think I over did it just a bit considering I didn't have to go that far yet.
Things he kept saying to me.
Run straight
Move your arms straight not side ways.
Lengthen your stride out.
Breath in a pattern.
Keep loose hands not fists.
Hold your body straight no sideways moving, your off balance.
A few other things that were personal because he was watching my behind.
He can walk as fast as I can run so he did a lot of catching up to me instead of running ahead of me.
I survived driving kids to get candy. Yes I ate some yes I am going to pay in the morning scale reading
And just for the record this is my least favorite holiday. I think its a manufactures greatest plan to get us fat and make parents crazy with wild children but unfortunately my hubby loves it and so do my boys all dressed up nasty and scary like this year. Jer he is a sugar alcoholic and hopefully I can get him back to eating anything nutritious in a few days.
What do you do let them eat it all in one big binge or take it and dole it over the week? I have done it both ways this year they are binging because I want it gone and fast.

137.6 Body Battle for Monday.

Yesterday the scale said 137.8 So much for doing Saturdays steak day. The body is refusing to go back to 135 no matter what I have done and it likes this 137 point I guess. Steak day didn't budge it nor running 3 miles and walking did there elicit any kind of change on the scale. So who wins well not my brain definitely the body for now.

Yesterday I ate left over steak, an apple, nuts, sugar free toffee, bean salsa a tiny tiny bit, carrots, humus, celery and feta cheese and a handful of grapes.

Today I ran and am eating yogurt smoothie and craving lots of chocolate and nuts again. Had a yummy omelet with homemade salsa and for dinner a chicken spinach apple salad with Waldon's Ranch dressing. Oh yeah and sunflower seeds. Drank my water today with grape flavored Stevia kinda yummy that's for sure.

Ran 2.5 miles and walked another .5 to round out for 3 miles worth of exercises.
Feeling strong today love that feeling.

137 Just another lazy rainy Sat.

It usually turns into one of those very lazy days. I hit the alarm off instead of getting up and loved every sleep in sec.
Made the C boy go on my 3 mile run and 1 mile walk. He made fun of me again because he can walk almost as fast as I run but he still attempts to look like he is running with me so I do not get so bugged feeling. I felt great and ready to keep it consistent next time instead of breaking it up with the walk in between. At least I got my run in before the rain started to come down.

Nice long soaking bath my hip keeps hurting and its really buggy that it does that.

Not really a hungry girl today I ate almonds and a tiny bit of cheese and then went to dinner with the Hubby for a very good prime rib dinner. I think I might pop from such a good meal. Good thing I really didn't eat to much earlier in the day.
I could only manage a small bit of the steak and was full so very fast. More thirsty then anything today. I guess this could look like a steak day but I wasn't trying to make it that way. I did ask for tomatoes because I wanted them so much. Going to bed early while the Hubby goes to the movies with the teens so they can get extra credit at school. Secretariat what a great show.
